Car buyers no longer have to choose between stylish design and electric performance. Mercedes-Benz is bridging that gap with the debut of its first all-electric wagon the CLA Shooting Brake. This sleek new model combines eye-catching aesthetics with the space and versatility that modern families and adventure-seekers expect from an EV.

For today’s EV buyers, performance and range are non-negotiable and the new Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake delivers on both fronts. Built on the brand’s next-gen MMA platform engineered to support both electric and hybrid powertrains this electric wagon is ready to impress.
Two all-electric versions will be available at launch. Leading with efficiency, the CLA 250+ Shooting Brake features a single-motor setup delivering 200 kW (268 hp) and boasts a remarkable WLTP-estimated range of 761 km. For those craving more power, the dual-motor CLA 350 4MATIC brings 260 kW (348 hp) with all-wheel drive, while still maintaining an impressive 730 km range.

Both variants of the CLA Shooting Brake are equipped with an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery featuring silicon-enhanced anodes for increased energy density the same advanced pack found in the new CLA sedan. Built on an 800-volt electrical architecture, the vehicle supports ultra-fast charging capabilities.
At compatible DC fast-charging stations, it can reach speeds of up to 320 kW. According to Mercedes, that’s enough to recharge approximately 310 km of range in just 10 minutes making long-distance travel far more convenient for EV drivers.

Step inside the CLA Shooting Brake, and you’ll find a cabin packed with next-gen digital innovation. The highlight is the optional MBUX Superscreen a stunning, full-width glass panel that spans the entire dashboard, housing three seamlessly integrated displays.
Powered by cutting-edge gaming technology through the Unity engine, the system also taps into AI intelligence from Microsoft, Google Gemini, and ChatGPT-4o. The result is a highly intuitive, personalized in-car experience that pushes the boundaries of what drivers can expect from modern EV interiors.

Mercedes has taken in-car intelligence to the next level with a voice assistant that adapts to driver habits and even responds to emotional cues. Enhancing the futuristic vibe are features like a 12.2-inch head-up display, biometric driver logins, high-speed 100-watt USB-C ports, and a panoramic electrochromic glass roof that shifts from clear to tinted in an instant. At night, 158 star-like LEDs light up with the ambient glow, creating a luxurious, immersive feel.
True to its wagon roots, the CLA Shooting Brake doesn’t skimp on practicality. It rides on a wheelbase that’s 61 mm longer than the previous model, offering noticeably more interior space. Rear passengers benefit from an extra 7 mm of headroom and improved accessibility, making everyday usability as impressive as its tech-forward design.

The CLA Shooting Brake delivers serious practicality to match its sleek design. With 455 liters of cargo space behind the rear seats and up to 1,290 liters when the 40:20:40 split-folding seats are down it’s ready for road trips, family hauls, or weekend adventures. Under the hood, a 101-liter frunk provides extra cargo space, complemented by an optional 1,800-kg tow hitch for maximum flexibility.
For now, Mercedes enjoys a unique position in the EV wagon space. Its only real rival is the Nio ET5T, while other automakers like BMW are yet to offer a direct alternative. BMW’s lineup currently features the iX1, a compact crossover, and the larger, more upscale i5 Touring. But with competition heating up, this exclusivity may not last for long.

Rumors indicate that BMW is working on an i3 Touring as part of its upcoming “Neue Klasse” EV lineup a model that would directly rival the CLA Shooting Brake. Meanwhile, Mercedes is set to roll out its new electric wagon in Europe by March 2026, with pricing expected to reflect its high-end features and advanced tech.
The CLA Shooting Brake is just the beginning. Mercedes plans to expand the lineup with additional variants, including plug-in hybrids and two SUV models built on the same flexible MMA platform.
